What you get

Automatic school bells and everything around them

The main screen shows the current lesson, the time to the next bell and whether the sound is OK.

Bells on schedule

  • Lesson times for each weekday, plus a separate schedule for short days
  • Warning bell, start-of-lesson and end-of-lesson bells
  • Special days: no bells, short day, “same as Monday” — they end on their own

Musical bells

  • Your own MP3, WAV, OGG or FLAC — one for the warning bell, one for the start and one for the end of a lesson
  • “Regular” and “Holiday” sets — switch on the main screen in two clicks
  • A melody of its own for a single bell — say, for an assembly

Announcements

  • Pre-recorded files — MP3, WAV, OGG, FLAC
  • On demand or on time: once or on chosen weekdays
  • An announcement never cuts off a bell — it waits until the bell ends

Manual control

  • A bell or an announcement in one click; a “Stop sound” button
  • Pause bells for 1 hour, 2 hours or the rest of the day — they resume on their own
  • Windows sound muted or sound card unplugged — a big warning on the screen
  • Activity log: who did what, when and from which console; kept for 3 months. Password for settings

PA integration

Works through the school's existing PA or voice alarm system

If the school has a public address or voice evacuation system with speakers, bells and announcements go through it. The computer connects with one cable to a line-level (background music) input — no separate speakers or wiring.

When this works
  • There is a background music input with the lowest priority — the PA system provides it.
  • Fire alarm comes first. On a fire signal the PA system mutes the bells by itself.
  • Your PA service company connects it — the one that maintains the system.
  • If the input turns on only by a button or a contact closure (some systems work this way), bells go through a separate amplifier instead.

In the PA system, bells and music have the lowest priority, the fire alarm has the highest. The PA system feeds the speakers in corridors, classrooms and the gym. Consoles

The principal speaks over the PA from their own computer

A console is the same program on any computer on the school network: the principal's, the deputy's, the security desk.

  • Live voice to the speakers: press “Speak” — in 2 seconds the whole school hears you. Pressed by mistake? Cancel.
  • One speaker at a time. Other consoles see “Speaking: Deputy head”.
  • Only a higher-priority console can interrupt — the order is set on the main computer.
  • A broadcast lasts 5 minutes at most.
  • Permissions on the main computer: who can speak, play announcements, trigger alarms. Security — alarms only, for example.
  • No codes on the console. A new console asks for access; on the main computer you name it and allow it.
  • Volume for each console separately.

Alarms

Three alarm types — on the main computer and every console

Hold the button for 1.5 seconds — a stray click won't trigger it. The signal loops until someone turns it off; scheduled bells wait.

Shelter alertEveryone to the shelter.
LockdownStay in classrooms: lock the doors, keep quiet.
EvacuationEveryone leaves the building by the evacuation plan.
Main screen during an alarm: red bar “Alarm: evacuation”, who triggered it and when
  • A network drop doesn't lose an alarm: the console repeats it when the connection is back.
  • The log records every alarm on and off: who, when, from which console.
  • Alarm buttons always work — even without a license key.
Important: this is an auxiliary tool. The program is not a voice alarm or evacuation system, a fire alarm or a panic button, is not certified as any of them and does not replace them. Triggering is not guaranteed.
  • Always duplicate the alert through other channels: voice alarm system, PA, panic button, phone, radios, in person floor by floor.
  • In an emergency follow the evacuation plan and call your local emergency number.
How it works

Signal path: console → main computer → PA system

  1. A console talks to the main computer over the school network.
  2. The main computer plays sound through its sound card.
  3. The line input of the amplifier or PA system takes the sound to the speakers.

Start a scenario and see what happens to the bells during a broadcast, an alarm and a fire signal.

Main computer

  • Windows 7 SP1, 10 or 11, 32- or 64-bit.
  • Sound card — built-in or USB — goes to the amplifier's line input.
  • Zones are switched by the amplifier or PA system itself.

Consoles

  • Any Windows computers on the school's local network.
  • For live voice — a microphone or a headset.
  • Network: TCP 47800 and UDP 47801.

Offline

  • The program never goes online.
  • No web access to the main computer.
  • Only consoles allowed on the main computer can connect.
Reliability

No missed bells

The program restarts itself after a crash, catches up after sleep and warns you if the sound is gone.

Starts with Windows

Turn the computer on — bells ring with no one touching it.

Watchdog

If the program fails, the watchdog restarts it in 3 seconds.

After sleep

A bell missed while the computer was asleep rings on wake-up, if it is no more than 3 minutes late.

The × doesn't close it

The window's close button only minimizes the program — bells keep ringing.

Sound check

Muted Windows sound or an unplugged sound card shows up at once — a big warning on the main screen.

Installation check

Checks the sound card, volume, melodies, schedule, autostart and network. The report goes into the installation record.

The main computer must stay on: put it on a UPS and turn off sleep mode.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Does the program need the internet?
No. The program and consoles work on the school's local network. The license key is entered offline too: computer code → key.
Can it work through the school PA or voice alarm system?
Yes, if the system has a background music input with the lowest priority. The main computer's sound card connects to that line input, and bells play through the same speakers. The fire alarm overrides the bells because the PA equipment is built that way; the program does not control that priority and cannot cancel it. The connection is made by the company that services the PA system.
Does it replace a fire alarm or voice evacuation system?
No. Alarms in the program are an auxiliary tool. It is not a voice alarm system, a fire alarm or a panic button and is not certified as any of them; triggering is not guaranteed. Always duplicate alerts through other channels.
How much does it cost?
Price on request; it depends on the number of consoles. The license is perpetual with 1 year of updates.
